Glass Hill Venue is opening in May 2018… this spot is wedding gold. It’s located right outside of Lynchburg in Goode, VA and it’s going to be every Lynchburg wedding photographers dream to photograph. But seriously, brides, get married there and hire me as your wedding photographer, pretty please! The mountains are vast…everywhere you turn there’s an amazing view. The fields are wide…there’s a pond on the property…and tall trees off to the left provide so many opportunities. The building is going to be amazing! They are going with a lodge-style theme, think fancy not rustic. These awesome ladies have been working with photographers, caterers, and designers to ensure the inside is going to be just as great for photographs. I cannot wait to see everything finished. I took Alexis and Austin for couples photos (they got engaged two months later) on what seemed like the hottest day of the year. It was 100 degrees and the humidity felt like 200%.All day, I was praying for a gorgeous sunset and on my drive to Glass Hill Venue, I saw HUGE storm clouds to my left. When I arrived, the clouds were still to my left and the sun was getting lower in the sky. I was so relieved, but it was still so hot! Alexis and Austin were troopers, though. I don’t think you’d ever know how hot we were by looking at these pictures. We enjoyed looking around the property of Glass Hill Venue, but as hot as it was we did not take the walk down to the pond, we just admired it from above. 🙂 As the sun started to set, I could see the clouds starting to change color. I just absolutely love the transition from full sun to sunset and seeing the colors change during the golden hour, but this sunset was something extraordinary! Check out those clouds we were so lucky to get!
