We are off to an incredible start of my 2019 Weddings. Sally and Chris had a super perfect day at Madison at the Mill in Orange, VA this past weekend. The rain held off until about 9pm, which left us with these beautiful clouds over the venue’s new open field. We had an amazing set of vendors, too:
Venue: Madison at the Mill
Coordinator: Emily Burke – Water & Wine VA
Catering: Roadside Chive (honestly some of the best food I’ve ever eaten)
Reception Rentals: MS Events
DJ: DJ Frye
Makeup: Kara Waggonner MUA
Hair: Meghan Miller
Florals: Colonial Flowers
Dress: David’s Bridal
Suit: Men’s Wearhouse
Cake: Maliha Creations
Favors: One Creative Cookie
Second Photographer: Karen Cabell
I love first looks! I’m sure I’m smilin’ like a fool behind the camera the whole time these are going on.
Sally and Chris had their ceremony in the church just a few minutes away from the venue. Right before the ceremony, we were told we couldn’t use a flash during the ceremony. This particular church wasn’t very bright inside, but at least we weren’t working with red carpet and wood walls. Y’all, that’s HARD sometimes! We made it work!
Madison at the Mill is a GREAT venue for a wedding if you’re looking for a cool warehouse vibe. There is plenty of room for guests, dancing, etc. and the light is perfect coming in from all the windows to really open up the space. I have to say it again…Roadside Chive killed it with this food! That salmon was AMAZING and we were also raving about that salad and potatoes! Super, super good!
Madison at the Mill has a field right around the corner from their building to use for a bigger open space. It was an absolutely perfect place to step away from the reception and get our sunset pictures…
Then, back to the venue to end this perfect night!

I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Chris, but loved meeting Sally and her mom before the wedding – they were both so adorably excited! And I can see why now…the love and laughter is apparent in the photos! Looks like a wonderful way to start a new married life. Congratulations, Sally & Chris!! (PS – this is the a-list of weddings vendors…what an honor to be part of such a beautiful and I’m sure delicious event!).
Awe! Kelly, yes! They are so adorably in love! Your cookies were BEAUTIFUL!
