Once again, I headed up to Sweet Briar College for a photo session. First of all, it never gets old as I’ve said before there are tons of great spots for photos. Secondly, I’ve never taken photos there in February when the greenery isn’t around so I was curious to what we would find. Grayson, a former photography student of mine, told me she was headed to Lynchburg for a weekend and wanted me to do their maternity photos. Yep, yep, yep! Let’s do it. I told her we would watch the weather because we never know what Virginia weather will bring us in the winter, and we surely got lucky…a 65 degree, sunny Sunday! We found a gravel road surrounded by trees to start our photos and then went walking through the woods and found a nice spot. There’s a huge, wide open field with a mountain view at Sweet Briar, but we couldn’t use it because the sun was not in the right place, so we headed to the brick buildings for a few photos. Like I said, there’s a ton of picture perfect spots at Sweet Briar!
I LOVED that I got to take these maternity pictures for Grayson because 1) she was a former photography student of mine and 2) we were both pregnant with baby boys…hers is due in March and mine is due in May! It was wonderful seeing Grayson and Dylan, and I especially enjoyed all of the pregnancy/baby chit-chat. This makes me more and more excited to meet our baby boys.
