I traveled from Lynchburg to Clayton, NY to photograph this wedding. My sister in law knew the bride and recommended me as their wedding photographer…and I’m so happy they loved my work because I certainly loved this wedding. I love traveling to new places for weddings and come on…who wouldn’t want a wedding by the St. Lawrence River? This wedding was at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel, a newer hotel in a small tourist town. The hotel is beautiful…a perfect venue for a river wedding because the ceremony site overlooks the river and on this cloudy day the blues were serene. We all loved seeing the ships pass during the ceremony as well.

Julie and Nick were so laid back and relaxed…and they love cats so basically we were all meant to be together that day. After the ceremony and family pictures, I took Julie and Nick through the Clayton streets for their bride and groom portraits. There are just so many great spots for photos, but I may just love the “crosswalk kiss” the best! What do you think?
