No one ever wants it to rain on their wedding day, but what happens if it does? It’s not the typical day you had planned, but if you’ve got the right venue and team of vendors, it can be better than you imagined!

I have to highlight this first because there were so many special moments throughout the day that honored, the bride, Lauren’s dad. He recently passed away and I know his presence was felt by everyone. Lauren had his photos as trinkets attached to her shoes so “he could still walk her down the aisle”. I cried a lot throughout the day watching these special moments as I lost my own father years ago and understand that great loss. She wore a bracelet with his fingerprint engraved on a heart, a heart trinket with a few of his ashes on her bouquet, a photo beside her mom so she could see him at the ceremony, and her brother surprised her during his dance with her with a photo of their dad in his jacket so she could still have a father/daughter dance.
It was just so incredibly special to see.
There were so many memorable moments throughout the day…such as her brother putting on a wedding gown to fake a first look with Jamie. Y’all. Jamie was so excited to see Lauren, but she did not want to do a first look so obviously she needed to trick Jamie. Poor guy. Thanks for not murdering me, Jamie. 🙂
And when you’ve got two cute doggos, you’ve got to incorporate them into your wedding and make a dog treat favor bar in their honor.
I’ll interrupt my storytelling with Lauren’s “Pinterest pose” because it’s so cute!
Here’s a few reception details. Excuse the way it crops the gallery! Yikes, I need to figure this out, y’all. But let me just say that I love this new addition that Bella Rose put here for the reception. It is gorgeous and spacious and I love the indoor/outdoor feel of this space.
The ceremony. Believe it or not, no one has ever done a petal exit during a ceremony before that I’ve photographed. I’m going to forever recommend it. IT’S SO FUN!
We were so lucky to get a break in rain right before the ceremony started and it didn’t start raining again until after the reception started so we were able to get all the Wedding Party photos outside in front of the columns like Lauren wanted. Yay!
Love these photos of Lauren and Jamie! Bride and Groom photos are always so fun!
Super quick reception pull! They did a branding ceremony before cake cutting and how cool is their new cutting board? They thought of everything!
