Babies gonna do what babies gonna do

So. My sweet, sweet boy, Graham was turning one soon and I thought, since I’m a photographer, I should set something awesome up to take his photos. But what could I do that was different than your typical cake smash? He is our second child and we chose a different way to feed him than our first…a process called Baby Led Weaning (BLW). Our seven year old is soooooo picky, and after researching BLW and joining a Facebook group to see how to do everything, we started it after he turned 6 months old and it has been the best thing ever. I have never bought a bit of baby food. He’s eaten everything we eat. Since we are healthy eaters, I wasn’t concerned about the very occasional take-out….so what better way to document his BLW journey than to have a big Chickfila set-up in our dining room, dress him up like a cow, and just have him go to town on some strips. Well, he didn’t go to town. He didn’t even cross the town line.

This is why I’m a wedding photographer

We tried this over a two day span and this crazy child of mine cried most of the time and never smiled. Y’all, this is why I’m a wedding photographer. LOL! I can use my wits and convo skills for the adults, but these tiny humans are a whole different ballgame. Hope you enjoy my total fail!
