Sunday, April 15th, this sweet family met me off Linden Avenue, in Boonsboro, for their session. It was a cloudy day and we knew rain was in the forecast, but they traveled all the way from Christiansburg and we were getting these photos one way or another! Their session ended up perfect…around 70 degrees and we had the perfect amount of cloud cover and sunny moments. I loved getting to know this family and their cute little girl. Momma was smart to bring her sisters along to stand behind me and try to make their niece laugh for the photos. I’m glad we were able to grab a few pictures of them, too!
As I left this area, I drove down Peakland Place admiring the houses and tree lined streets…it’s a quiet neighborhood and I imagined it would be great for raising kids. It’s hard to believe how quick things can change. A tornado passed through this area just a few hours later and brought devastation to these beautiful tree lined streets and houses. Cleanup has been ongoing in this area, Timberlake, and Elon. If you would like to make a donation to help these people who have lost businesses and homes, please go to Gleaning for the World or Amherst County’s website to see how you can help.
