Nesselrod Bed and Breakfast Wedding | Radford Wedding Photographer
Confession time: I LOVE photographing weddings at venues I’ve never been to before. It’s exciting! I usually sneak a peek online at the venue to see the overall layout and surroundings, but I’m going to tell you something…Nesselrod Bed and Breakfast in Radford, VA exceeded my expectations. It’s a small property, but LOADED with great spots for photos. Huge crepe myrtle trees provide a canopy in front of the house and large evergreens line the ceremony site making it feel so intimate and beautiful.
I’ve told them several times, but I’m so glad Yuxin and Lening chose me to photograph their wedding. I loved getting to know them and be involved in their Chinese culture that they brought into their wedding. It’s traditional for the bride to wear red, and Yuxin had a gorgeous red reception dress that just made these photos so rich in color.

When we arrived upstairs to begin detail photos, everything had been carefully laid out by Yuxin’s bridesmaids…along with all the little plush animals Yuxin had made. How cute are these? And she brought the bears from their engagement session photos! 🙂
I love getting to show the relationship between mom and daughters. They are so sweet!

Like I said, there are so many awesome photo spots at Nesselrod! Look at all this green and the way the light comes in the background. I hate trying to make these pictures small to save downloading time. Haha! They should all be large!
I loved getting these photos of their parents taking photos. 🙂
They also had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony where the bride and groom present tea to their partner’s parents, and then the parents present them with a red envelope.
After these photos, Yuxin slipped into her red reception dress…
