Sorella Farms Rainy Day Wedding

It’s dreaded by anyone having an outdoor wedding…the chance of rain! On this November Saturday, it happened…and a whole day of it. It wasn’t looking like the rain was going to subside at Sorella Farms, so the amazing women who run this beautiful wedding venue adjusted their plans and continued with an outdoor wedding. Extra umbrellas were set out, along with a basket full of fleece blankets, and guests were ushered to their seats. I can’t stress this enough…if you can afford it, pay for experienced vendors. Weddings are one of the biggest days in most people’s lives, mainly because of the expense involved, and if you want it to go as smoothly as possible you need seasoned wedding vendors that know how to roll with the punches.

Still “Soaking” the fall colors in

As I said this wedding was in November and the leaves were still hanging on and boasting their beautiful colors. Sam and David chose beautiful, rich shades of reds and tons of greenery for their wedding day. As a second shooter for Kidd Photography, I didn’t need to arrive as early as I would, so I sadly didn’t take my usual detail shots to share the centerpieces and reception site with you… insert sad face. But, check out basically every outdoor photo here and it was probably raining…can you tell? I know that isn’t a situation any bride wants to be in, but it’s great that it didn’t stop Sam and David from using it to their advantage and grabbing a clear umbrella and getting to work. I personally think it adds some extra sweetness to their photos. Also, scroll down to the father/daughter first look and check out Sam’s dad’s socks. I’m so glad I was able to snap that photo super quick as I didn’t know what they were doing.
